Eye’s are the window’s to our soul, so they say! If someone is truly happy, their smile reaches their eyes so for that reason I like to help keep my eyes bright. We really should be taking care of them as they are the first place to age. But, we can all have a bad nights sleep or even a few too many on a night out and need some extra help to give eyes a bit of a glowing pop. So, here’s my favourite eye trio to do just that…
Like a lot of women I suffer with dark circles under my eyes. But because I have deep set eyes, I get a shadow too which makes dark circles look darker. So first thing to remember is to avoid white concealer as it will only make dark circles look grey. Instead I opt for a concealer with an orange undertone as this will combat the dark circles. I’ve been using Physicians Formula CC Concealer Cream in the Light/Medium shade for a few months now and I will definitely be repurchasing. I find it’s light, super hydrating but gives good coverage. It’s long lasting but doesn’t dry out the eyes, nor does it sit in the creases of the eye, which can make you look older. It instantly brightens the eye and gives a lovely dewy look. If you’ve got dehydrated eyes and dark circles are a concern, I highly recommend this. Oh and did I mention, it’s SPF 30 too. Now there’s a superb unique selling point for a concealer!
Let’s be honest, that “flick on fleek” is not the easiest thing to achieve so a good product & brush is vital. I’ve used tonnes of liquid eye liners over the years and I still go back to The Body Shop Liquid Eyeliner. I cannot rave about this product enough, it’s by far my favourite. It’s lasts all day, doesn’t budge or smudge but is removed easily without leving panda eyes. In just one swoop it gives full on colour. The sponge/brush is like no other! It’s a tapered sponge that gives a perfect line and a perfect flick. I highly recommend this if you’re a liquid eyeliner fan.
Now to finish the look and no better way than with fluttering lashes! I’ll be honest, I’m lucky to have long curly lashes but they’re blonde and very fine so I need a good mascara to emphasise them. I’ve got one word to say about Too Faced “Better That Sex” mascara… WOW!! This gives lashes a full on high impact look. I found it didn’t clump on my lashes of you wipe any excess mascara off.
All three have been stable makeup items for a long time.
